On Thursday 10th April 2025 at Shrubbery Road Downend, Bristol, Bro. Kt. Christopher Northcott the Eminent Preceptor Elect was Installed into the Chair of the King Richard I Preceptory.
King Richard I changed its By-laws some time ago and now has separate meetings for K.T. and Malta Installations.
The ceremony was conducted by the Installed Preceptor E.Kt. Kenneth Willies who performed to a very high standard and to the delight of all in attendance.
The Provincial Prior and his Sub-Prior were also in attendance together with many Great Officers, Provincial Officers and visitors who witnessed a very happy and successful meeting.
Following his Installation E.Kt. Northcott invested his officers who were in attendance.
The Treasurer gave a brief update on the financial situation of the Preceptory and an Almoners Report was delivered.
During the singing of the Templar’s Hymn an Alms collection was taken after which the Provincial Prior, Sub-Prior and Great Officers retired from the Preceptory.
The Eminent Preceptor closed the Preceptory and all repaired to the Refectory for delightful refreshment together with convivial conversation.
